Divinity, our soul, spirit, or "God/Dess" drives humans. I've traveled to over 50 cities in 6 different countries in the past few years, and each city has as churches and cathedrals central to the landscape. For many Nature herself is a holy place.
We enjoy and sometime crave money, entertainment, and the very important love of family and friends, but humans abandon each other over belief. We kill each other over who has the "right god", we use religious text to justify horrors, wars, and condemn others.
We refuse to question those who place themselves in leadership and give our power aware to save our lives. We act as if we can get to the Divine (God) through another instead of through our own heart and knowing.
In this fear, programming, and confusion, we attempt to survive by giving away parts of ourselves. By masking our authentic self from the world, and by hiding even from ourselves the most tender, precious, and profound parts of ourselves in exchange for a mask to wear while we walk in a world where conformity gives power to the few and forces us to hide from even ourselves.
There is no more time to hide in the skirts of others to tell us who we are not the Divine. No more giving our power away to organizations, elites or acting as if things have been working.
